Public Information Officer
The Public Information Officer (PIO) is responsible for communications with the public, media, and other agencies to publicize, highlight and promote the goals and accomplishments of the City and disseminate important, public safety, and incident-related information. The liaison serves as a resource for City departments, the media, and community members.
Media Inquiries
All media inquiries must be directed to the City’s PIO.
Inquiries include the City Council, Atascadero Police Department, Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services Department, all other City Departments, and the Charles Paddock Zoo. To facilitate timely responses to your inquiries, please provide your questions and the deadline to the PIO by email at pio@atascadero.org.
